House Education Committee Chairman Frank Rasche is leaving the legislature to join the growing list of lawmakers who are blowing up the public employee fringe benefits system with the 2005 platinum handshake they passed for themselves.
What's even more exciting is his replacement to chair the committee is likely to be another walking, talking conflict of interest: school teacher Rep. Derrick Graham.

Congratulations to Gov. Beshear for making sure that the House of Representatives will NEVER debate real improvements to the KY public school system. Mr. Graham carries the water for the KEA and he will make sure their pockets stay well-lined. I wonder how he has the guts to look Louisville African-American parents straight in the eye and tell them that it's okay if one out of two of their boys who start 9th grade will not graduate from high school.
