Eating their own; anyone else hungry?

Teachers union poobahs are shocked Newark Mayor Corey Booker(D) keeps pushing for school choice and that their efforts to keep him quiet are meeting resistance from Democrats.

In fact, at an event last night in Denver he went on the attack against teachers unions and received applause from the 500 Democrats in attendance.

School choice means giving parents and students the ability to choose how the tax money dedicated to each student is used, whether that means at a school outside of the assigned district or at a private school. Big-government supporters generally hate such market-based competition.

Republicans who are looking for a good issue to run on this year couldn't find a much better one than this to separate opponents funded by the teachers unions from their base of voter support.

Part of the limiting of Education in Kentucky is caused by the KTA. It seems the teachers union, just last year, endorsed CASINO GAMBLING as a means to fund EDUCATION.

How can people, who are supposed to be BETTER EDUCATED, make a choice of money for the Education Department over the personal and psychological problems associated with gambling????

Not exactly my choice of A MORAL UPRIGHT POSITION for teachers to support.

The proposal of use your EDUCATION TAX MONEY wherever you choose, will never work. The TEACHERS UNION will not allow it to happen. But it is a reasonable idea with proper oversight.

The TEACHERS UNION can charge their members for a cause when they need to and the politicians know that.

This demonrat minority of able thinkers needs to leave the demonrat party and help us restore the republicrat party.

Jim, moral and upright have nothing to do with the agenda of teachers' unions.

I really can't believe how illiterate you people are. But it makes sense, given the proposals you espouse.
Wake up; get a real education elsewhere or fund real educational programs here.
I really don't think that you will though ... then some of you might see the light and abandon your heredetary beliefs.

Illiterate, bimbeau?

Please explain to the peanut gallery what "heredetary beliefs" are. After that, maybe we can discuss why your fabulous educational credentials haven't yet improved your ability to discuss an issue without insulting people and calling names.
