I had my fingers crossed hoping that Ohio would send its businesses our way by passing a ballot initiative to force businesses to grant seven paid sick days a year to employees.
No such luck.
Shouldn't we expect, now that Ohio has passed this collective IQ test, Kentucky to put forward a similar proposal any day now?

Sorry to disappoint you...lol.
However, the enduring hope and plan of many of this initiative's supporters, including Ohio. Sen. Sherrod Brown, is that a national mandate will make such state mandates unnecessary.
Funny - if it's bad for a state who would have to compete with other states not imposing such requirements, wouldn't it also be bad for a nation having to compete with other nations who make no such madates a requirment?
I know - logic and reason get me every time.
That's interesting. Thanks Maggie. Because we haven't had a similar push down here, Kentucky hasn't gotten wind of the feds coming in to "help" us in this way. What we are hearing about is how Barack's socialized medicine is going to bail out the states who have promised their public employees health benefits we can't afford.
