Newberry astroturfs himself

This is embarrassing. Can't imagine why Lexington Mayor Jim Newberry's political "folks" thought it would be a good idea for him to go on Fox News and call astroturf soccer fields "infrastructure," but that is what he did.

The media opportunity wasn't exactly an efficient use of public resources, Mr. Newberry. Hope your three minutes in the spotlight was fun.

Go here to see for yourself.

"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen, and phylosophers, and devines." (Emerson)
Newberry was foolishly consistent on both CNN and FOX.
Can things get any worse? Yes. Will they? Probably.

Yes, they have gotten worse. Check out the mess at the jail Newberry is suppose to be incharge of and has refused to lead. Inmate civil rights trashed by more than inmate beatings. Massive cover-ups. Major money missing. Strong lawsuits. His attorney firm raking in the money. The FBI and the Department of Justice all over the issue and a huge trial comming June 8, 2009 with Newberry taking the stand to attempt to keep all of the lies togather. What a total failure of leadership and a disgrace to the public trust. Other than that, he is a fine fellow.
