Give a man a phone book

The old saying about the value of giving a man a fish versus teaching him how to fish obviously gained popularity before lobbying for Congressional earmarks became a marketable skill.

And the lessons we are supposed to learn to help us grow stronger during the current recession clearly aren't going to involve not paying a chamber of commerce $375,000 to look up numbers in a phone book and provide rent seeking tips.

Here's just one little earmark request:

This is how you can tell no one in Washington D.C. really sees the current "end of the world crisis" as that big of a deal. Instead, it's just another opportunity to expand government, orchestrated by the masters.
