Supreme Court, transparency and petitions

The Supreme Court is about to begin hearing arguments in an interesting case regarding government transparency and petitions.  At issue is whether the names on petitions are able to be obtained through open records requests.

I hope the Supreme Court sides with Washington state. The names of petition signers are a public record and should be available for disclosure.

I agree with Scott. They should be considered public record and thus should be subject to open records laws.
