The brighter the research shines, the darker the hole of wasteful spending in Kentucky’s public schools becomes. Half of all education spending – by far the largest single item in the state budget’s General Fund – is spent for unnecessary personnel, unproven programs and unwelcomed experiments. When will this end?

A lot of this money probably winds up padding the pockets of teacher's unions and administrators. Shameful, really.
Can you believe so many students were passed without math proficiency? Where is the accountability in our education system?
No wonder parents are asked to provide more things for the classrooms than we used to have to provide. The list of things teachers request for students to bring in gets longer every year. And this is on top of the supplies that have to be bought for our own child or children.
