Herald-Leader picks up my concerns about new CPE report

Jim Warren at the Lexington Herald-Leader understands my discussion that the slightly good news in the new High School Feedback Report from the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education also creates some major concerns about both the amount and rate of progress.

It's long past time for Kentucky K-12 educators to be held accountable for closing learning gaps across the state.

Where are the aggressive goals to do that?

Where is the outcry on such dismal progress?

Where are the leaders willing to put it all on the line to make a difference?

Answers: No where! The education establishment is continually rewarded for finding anything positive to spin and ducking accountability - not for results.

Where are the leaders?

The ones who really tried to make change are gone, devoured by a system that refuses to change.

E.G. Joe Brothers, Penney Sanders, Peggy Petrilli. Make waves for real education change in this state and your reward is getting removed.
