Kentucky's families and state government must balance their budgets. Why shouldn't Washington politicians be required to do the same?

Unfortunately, Kentucky's Constitution only requires that we are able to make our bond payments in order to claim a balanced budget. We have added many billions of dollars in debt recently while claiming "balanced" budgets. Let's hope any results on the federal level relating to budgeting are less illusory than what we have in Frankfort.
