If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet

I read today that the Obama administration is considering a working draft of a bill that would tax drivers based on how many miles they drive.

What's next? Taxing musicians based on how many notes they play? A tax based on how many square feet your gas powered mower travels when you are maintaining your property?

Reminds me of a song...

Yes, there is no end to Obama's tax vision.

Why doesn't he just increase the federal tax more on each gallon and avoid building another massive federal, punitive bureaucracy to beat up on citizens that make mistakes, have mechanical problems, can't do math, etc.? Of course he would have to provide exemptions for all union members and contributors.

Or he could just can his passion to sink the USA through overt, covert, and blatant spending and we wouldn't need any more taxes.

But since you provided the song reference, I'm sure he'll think of and push for a personal 'yellow submarine' next and mandate a special 'float time' tax for all boats that don't submerge.
