As a graduate engineer, I could not agree more.
You can't fix K-12 education in KY until you fix the command and control structure. The amateur, unaccountable, part-time site-based councils have to go. We pay good money to superintendents and principals but then neuter their authority to get along with the union. It's time to step up to the plate and reverse that edict.
The failure of our education system to educate America's children is destroying our pool of talent and hurting our economic productivity. K-12 needs major reform. And it needs it now!
