A better idea to help fund these emergency repairs would be to not allocate $11 million for highway enhancements and tax incentives for theme parks.
That $11 million would be a good chunk of the 13.6 needed.

Using the 11 million to off-set the cost of the repairs is a great idea. Since it is a great idea it will never be used--politicians seem to hate great ideas.

You are absolutely correct. There seems to be an aversion to great ideas. You know, ideas like repealing prevailing wage laws and offering more choice to parents for their child's education.
